Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records for our company. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for recording day-to-day financial transactions, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and assisting with various financial processes. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and posting journal entries.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documents.
- Conduct regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Monitor and track accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- Provide support during audits and assist with the preparation of financial documentation as required.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High degree of integrity and professionalism.
Education and Certifications:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) are a plus.
