As a Category Specialist – Software for Process Automation Business Area in Hangzhou, China, you will be responsible for actively partner with R&D teams on strategic supplier selection, RFQ, performance evaluation.
Your responsibilities
- Following ABB CoC managing software suppliers
- Collaborating with internal R&D and Product Management and external suppliers on the strategy and execution of sourcing activities.
- Building trusted relationships with software suppliers.
- Seeking value/savings and efficiency opportunities across category spend, negotiating and reporting in appropriate format
- Developing, issuing and leading RFx activity to find the best sourcing solutions that meet business and commercial requirements, leading commercial negotiations to ensure ABB receives the best value and associated cost savings.
- Collaborating with ABB Legal for negotiations of large/high risk agreements, ensuring favorable commercial terms and mitigate risk
- Applying supplier relationship management techniques to ensure the supply base is providing required level of services, including but not limited to supplier business reviews, spend analytics, etc.
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information technology or related majors
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in software sourcing, project management experiences preferred
- Sound understanding of procurement practices and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret contract specifications within the Procurement process
- Familiarity with BI reporting and spend analysis
- Strong leadership to drive great performance
- English is a must as working language
