Senior Commercial Role leading the business in one of BSI’s owned and strategic route to markets with an opportunity to develop strong general management skills.


Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible and accountable for delivering the full Austrian P&L and manage Opex and A&P spent (Pricing, Promo and BI)
  • Provide leadership and development of a team of 9 marketing and sales professionals on site and remote.
  • Responsible for developing and delivering the short- and long-term strategy for the Austrian Market.
  • Lead the business planning process through the annual commercial planning processes. (Portfolio Strategy, Brand Planning, Channel planning including Customer strategy)
  • Lead the S&OP process from Commercial standpoint and provide monthly business forecast in volume & value.
  • Link between the Austrian organization (Marketing & Sales) and the support functions (e.g. Finance, Controlling, Supply Chain, HR, etc.) in Germany & Northern Europe.
  • Responsible for the local translation of the Germany & Northern Europe strategies and priorities for Austria.
  • Effective Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver global and regional strategic pillars
  • Assess & develop effective processes for Austria within the scope of the total organization
  • Build a positive and engaging Beam Suntory work environment and drive a Kaizen mindset.
  • Ensure compliance against local regulations and company policies

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of commercial experience in Austrian alcoholic beverage/FMCG companies preferred
  • 4-5 years’ experience in team management & working with regional cross-functional teams, achieving goals on-time with limited resources in dynamic and competitive market
  • Strong background in Sales and Key account Management roles in Austria, ideally with additional knowledge in Marketing or Trade Marketing.
  • Proven track record for cultivating and growing strong relationships with key external & internal partners across various cultures
  • Proven track record of building high performance teams through coaching and focused development
  • Proven track record of identifying, developing and growing channels and Customers.
  • Ability to take a hands-on approach toward managing tactical as well as strategic work
  • Strong business, commercial and financial acumen, and ability to analyze key business drivers and their financial implications on P&L, the balance sheet, and cash flows.
  • Ability to leverage data for decision making (e.g. forecasting to estimate market demand)
  • Ability to deal with ambiguous problems and build cross-functional solutions
  • A mindset of continuous improvement
  • Very good knowledge in German and English
