Position
We are looking for a talented and passionate Junior Brand Manager for Wines & Aperitif to join our marketing team based in Vienna. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting consumer's experiences through 360 activations in Austria working closely within the Austria, Germany and Switzerland cluster (AGS) to implement scale activations. The Junior Brand Manager Wines & Aperitif is expected to take responsibility of the wine brands in the portfolio as well as supporting the Senior Brand Managers in the management of the Wines & Aperitif portfolio.

WHAT RESPONSIBILITIES WILL YOU HAVE?
BRAND MANAGEMENT / STRATEGY
- Drive strategic development of annual brand plans/three-year plans in accordance with brand, sales and financial targets and in line with global and local strategies.
- Act as a brand ambassador and be responsible for communication and custodianship of brand strategies internally and influence the commercial agenda of the brand in line with the brand objectives.
- Inspire, motivate, and manage external agencies and internal resource for key marketing programmes including objective setting, execution & evaluation of delivery.
- Work closely with AGS Insights Manager to generate consumer insights along the consumer journey and activate the brand in all relevant channels.
- Work with the cross functional marketing teams, PR & communication team, On and Off trade teams, Private Sales, Finance to implement the brand strategy, consumer activations, align on KPI’s and to execute.
- Achieve sales and profit contribution.
COMMERCIAL & TRADE MARKETING
- Set objectives with the On & Off-trade sales teams, jointly developing plans for channels and key accounts to build consumer advocacy in the trade.
- Develop and evaluate trade focused programmes and materials.
- Be accountable for the development, implementation, and control of brand activations.
COMMUNICATION / EVENTS
- Collaborate with PR agency to develop focused PR strategies/ activations and set KPIS.
- Brief/ work in cooperation (jointly with the AGS media manager) with the media agency to develop impactful and successful media plans.
- Brief creative/production agencies. Set budgets. Oversee execution and evaluate results.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
- Take direct responsibility for budgetary control of brand with monthly reporting.
- Regularly report and analyse brand performance and key KPIs and act on it if necessary.
- Work with the finance/controlling teams to agree on forecasts and allocations.
- Regularly spend time in the trade and keep up to date with competitor activity across the marketing mix.
Profile
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related, emphasis on Marketing
- Minimum 2-3 years of brand management experience in major consumer goods company or wine industry
- Solid wine knowledge, WSET Level 2+ qualification is an advantage
- Knowledge of the wine & spirits industry and the luxury market
- German & English fluent written & spoken, French is a nice to have
