SkyTEM Canada Inc. is seeking a motivated and organized Operations Manager to be based in Canada, providing support for airborne geophysical surveys in North America. The position will require occasional travelling to projects in remote areas or travel for various meetings or training including to our headquarters in Denmark. The position is a remote position with occassional meetings with our 'office team' in Toronto.
This position is fast paced, managing in a lot of changing situations, your ability to adapt to change, find solutions and expect the unexpected are all part of the adventure.
Key Responsibilities
· Building a strong and cohesive team of field crews (including but not limited to hiring and scheduling of field rotations)
· Project management of Americas projects including liaison with helicopter operators
· Freight management for all field equipment (with assitance from headquarters)
· Planning of field operations
· HSE documentation
· Support sales team in preparing quotations
· Oversee survey logistics
· Equipment (including our SkyTEM equipment and truck/trailer) tracking, maintenance and repair (where applicable and with the guidance of headquarters)
Education and Experience
· Minimum five (5) years experience managing a team
· Preference to those candidates with experience in airborne geophysics or geoscience background
· PMP designation is an asset
· Strong electronics technical knowledge
· Comfortable with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, One Drive, Sharepoint)
· Experience with inventory management and project management software an asset but not required
· Strong command of the English language, French an asset but not required
Must have a valid driver’s licence, passport, and ability to obtain high speed internet.
