Senior Purchaser [South Korea]


 

Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all strategic procurement activities within Vestas, including negotiations, contract management, cost out initiatives, leading cross functional teams, strategy development, and supplier relationship management.

The position as senior purchaser in Indirect Material Procurement APAC NEA team will cover Korea and Japan region. And it will give you a great opportunity to develop your procurement profile and join a team of experienced strategic purchasers, commodity leads and specialists. The position is located in Seoul, Korea.


Responsibilities

  • Lead purchasing indirect commodity i.e. business service, factory MRO, CAPEX and tools for business and manufacturing operation of Vestas in Korea and Japan.

  • Manage the procurement related activities in the cross functional team and secure alignment with relevant stakeholders in relation to e.g., project planning, costing, and supplier risk and performance management.

  • Supplier selection, qualification, negotiation and contracting and supplier relationship management, including supplier account plans, and performance management.

  • Supplier consolidation to ensure supply chain optimization based on total landed cost, strategy and roadmap development with cross function team.

  • Deliver the KPIs: EBIT, continuous cost out initiatives technically and commercially through the whole value chain, PPV etc


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with min 8-10 years of working experience within similar role and manufacturing industry

  • In-depth knowledge and exposure to strategic procurement or a degree in either business or engineering

  • Proven record of significant stakeholder management skills incl. experience with communication on executive level

  • Good with Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel) (required) and SAP

  • Professional communication skills including Korean, English, Japanese.

  • Have stakeholder communication skills, as well as the ability to identify and involve business stakeholders and navigate through competing agendas.
