We are currently looking for a talented Layout Designer with a specialization in print publications to join our team. In this role, you will focus on designing and organizing layouts for printed materials, such as magazines & books. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of print design principles, a strong sense of typography and composition, and the ability to turn creative concepts into compelling print layouts.
Key Responsibilities:
Print Layout Design:
Create and develop engaging layouts for various print publications, ensuring that each page is visually appealing and information is presented clearly.
Work closely with the editorial team to understand the content and conceptualize layouts that enhance readability and visual impact.
Typography and Composition:
Choose appropriate fonts, colors, and graphic elements to create cohesive and aesthetically pleasing designs for print.
Ensure consistency and alignment with brand guidelines and publication standards.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Collaborate with graphic designers, photographers, and illustrators to integrate images and artwork into the layout.
Communicate with printers to ensure quality and adherence to technical specifications.
Revisions and Finalization:
Revise designs based on feedback and ensure final layouts are free of errors before sending to print.
Prepare final design files in the correct formats for printing.
Quality Control and Standards:
Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in print design.
Maintain high standards for design quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Layout Designer with a focus on print publications.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in print layout design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Excellent understanding of layout design, typography, and color theory for print.
- Familiarity with print production processes and technical requirements.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
