Marketing & Communications Assistant [Ireland]


 

Job Purpose

Odyssey Social Care is dedicated to providing 24/7 Care to Young People referred to us by TUSLA, by providing essential services for these young people, who are in the care of the State, while they are living in our Residential Care facilities. We are on a journey of increased brand awareness, and as Marketing & Communications Assistant, you will lead and manage our social media for the Organisation. You will provide support to the Executive Team on all areas of marketing and brand activity to help deliver the annual brand and marketing strategy and plan.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Marketing & Communications Assistant

· Social Media – Management of all social media pages including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Glass Door & Indeed. Covering content development, calendar planning, moderation & community management, reporting and analysis, with the goals of driving brand awareness, assessing the value of additional channels, community development and increased engagement.

· Website – Manage content uploads and new page requirements for our website. Support ongoing site maintenance and development.

· Content Marketing – Support the execution of content calendars for our digital marketing platforms extending to social, website and email. Work with the team to develop new Content Marketing ideas and initiatives, with the twin aims of strengthening our brand and database growth.

· Email Marketing – Lead our email marketing communications, with ownership for developing our monthly newsletter, aided by Department managers. Support the HR Director in analysing our existing reach and help drive engagement and build loyalty.

· Reporting – Providing monthly marketing reports demonstrating the value of marketing activities. Analysis of brand impressions versus our competitors, and placement on competitor scale. Suggest opportunities for improvement on our impressions and reach.

· Attracting Traffic – Increase the People & Culture and Brand relationship, driving our online content to attract new employees and engage our current Teams. Maintaining a close link with the HR Director and Recruitment Manager on content / events to support the employee attraction strategies.

· Branded Stock – Manage existing branded stock and organise re-ordering in line with business requirements, including the development of new items (source, design & print) e.g., Promotional Material, Branded Gifts, Flyers etc. Work with external graphic designers to produce marketing material of impact and within brand guidelines.

· Positive Impact – Support Department and Project Managers to promote our Positive Impact (H.A.V.E) into visual examples to build our Employer Brand.

· Research – Carry out research into the competitive landscape to isolate best-in-class marketing practices, suggesting campaigns/content marketing initiatives based on findings.

· Promote – Positively promote the organisation in all activities.

· Any other duties which are consistent with your role.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

· You will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

· You will be skilled in CANVA Artwork programme (or similar for design, photo and video editor).

· You will be familiar with Social Media forums and the management of same e.g., experience in Mailchimp, WordPress, LinkedIn & Facebook.

· You will be company focused.

· You will be used to working on your own and in a team environment.

· You will have a high sense of urgency.

· You will possess a high level of integrity.

· You will have a full clean Irish/ European driving licence. On occasion you will be required to attend marketing meetings.

· Preferable - Knowledge of the Irish National Standards in Children’s Residential Centres.
