Rail MEP Systems Safety Specialist
The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialists are supporting a leading International Engineering firm who are requiring a Rail MEP Systems Safety Specialist for their Rail projects in the GCC Region to play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of stations and trackwork systems.

Job Description:

Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures specific to MEP systems for stations and trackwork.- Conduct thorough safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with local regulations and international safety standards.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to contractors and subcontractors involved in MEP system installations.
- Monitor and review construction activities related to MEP systems, identifying potential safety issues and proposing mitigation measures.
- Perform risk assessments and develop safety plans for MEP systems in coordination with other project stakeholders.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to raise awareness about safety best practices among project team members.
- Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements in MEP systems safety.
Key requirements for the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum 15 years of industry experience
- Regional experience is an advantage
- Proven experience as a Systems Safety Assessor or similar role, specifically in civil works and MEP systems within the rail or transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of CENELEC standards, safety regulations, codes, and safety assessment processes
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing safety strategies, policies, and procedures for complex engineering systems.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic will be an advantage.
- Willing to relocate to the Middle East
