Our community service covering Rodney, North Shore and West Auckland has a position for an experienced speech-language therapist based in our West community team. You will be working autonomously and collaboratively as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team.
We are seeking a competent, reflective practitioner, who demonstrates strong professional collegial relationships, a commitment to evidence-informed practice, client-centred care and a passion for multi-disciplinary teamwork. You should have relevant clinical experience working with adults with acquired swallowing and communication difficulties. Ideally you will have competency in the use and interpretation of videofluoroscopy; however, training can be provided if not. In addition to VFSS, we have access to a flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) service at North Shore and Waitākere Hospitals, which are carried out in collaboration with in-patient SLTs.
We are an innovative and forward thinking, supportive community team with strong links to the in-patient SLT Teams. We offer continuous professional development through in-service training and individualised clinical coaching/ training as required.

In order to be successful in this position, you will have:
- New Zealand professional qualification in speech-language therapy, or NZSTA approval of overseas qualification
- NZSTA registration and APC
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
