Ophthalmic Assistant or nursing (vision experienced) vacancy:
An Ophthalmology Practice in Kwa-Zulu Natal is seeking to employ an Ophthalmic Assistant or nursing sister with vison experience to commence as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
· Perform testing according to patients ailments and history

· Attend to reporting and electronic Medical notes where necessary
· Administer Ophthalmic or oral medication under the guidance of the ophthalmologist
· Assist with in-room procedures
· Following the necessary protocol and ensuring equipment is sterile and cleanliness of the practice is adhered to
· Provide patient education based on the diagnosis and patient needs
Qualifications
· HPCSA or SANC Registration (where applicable)
· Ophthalmic Assistant experience (preferred)
· Nursing qualification and essential vision experience within the medical fraternity
· Excellent computer skills
· Team player
· Reliable and high work ethic
