About the Role

As our Senior Regulatory Risk Officer Europe, you will focus on prudential regulatory developments (e.g., Solvency II, Insurance Recovery & Resolution) and help strengthen Swiss Re's market leadership as a risk knowledge company by proactively identifying, assessing, and monitoring regulatory risks across EMEA. You will work closely with various internal functions to develop Swiss Re's policy positions for use in external engagement and input to public consultations. You will also support Swiss Re's Senior Management in discussions with European regulators, trade associations and clients.
Core responsibilities:
- Develop a clear understanding of and expertise on European regulatory risks of relevance for the Swiss RE EMEA legal entities and business.
- Coordinate responses to and relationship with European regulatory authorities as well as represent Swiss Re's views in trade associations.
- Support Legal Entity CROs with respect to managing risks.
- Support Swiss Re's Senior Management in their engagement with regulators and trade associations on the European risk landscape.
- Collaborate with internal functions to report on, assess and steer regulatory developments in the region.

About You

Essentials
- A university degree or equivalent in Economics, Actuarial science, Finance or Law.
- At least 5+ years of professional-level work experience dealing with insurance regulatory topics in a governmental agency, regulatory/supervisory authority or company.
- A good understanding of the European re/insurance risk landscape. Knowledge of and/or experience with Solvency II would be desirable.
- Strong people skills and experience in dealing with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators.
- Excellent communication skills, orally and in writing in English, knowledge of other European languages would be a great asset.
- Ability to assimilate and summarize complex issues into concise memos/ presentations.
