Company Overview
A well-established listed company that is a strong player in its industry and has presence globally. They are looking to bring on board a few excellent Project Accountant to support their team in Petaling Jaya.
Job description:
1. Financial Monitoring and Reporting:
- Collaborate with project managers to create project budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor project expenses, revenue, and costs against established budgets.
- Prepare and present regular financial reports to project teams and management.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
2. Cost Tracking and Analysis:
- Track and allocate project-related costs, including labor, materials, subcontractors, and other expenses.
- Conduct variance analysis to explain deviations from budgeted costs and propose corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on cost overruns and assist in identifying strategies to mitigate such risks.
3.Financial Controls and Documentation:
- Maintain organized and accurate project-related financial records and documentation.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing requested financial information and documentation.
- Implement and maintain financial controls to safeguard project finances and assets.
4. Forecasting and Budgeting:
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts.
- Provide input and insights into financial projections for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to adjust financial plans based on changing project circumstances.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to gather financial data and insights.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure consistent financial reporting and alignment with company-wide practices.
Requirement to succeed
- Diploma in Accounting / Finance or any equivalent field
- 3 - 5 years of related working experience would be preferred
- Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Melayu would be advantage.
- Assertive, creative and ready to work in a changing environment.
- Assertive, creative, good interpersonal skills, highly driven and self-motivated for a fast-paced evolving environment
