The Data Experience Team (DX) operates on Big Data systems. We collect, process, and aggregate Akamai network metrics for the purposes of analytics, reporting, and visualization.

You'll be working on innovating and developing new and ground-breaking Big Data products. It provides services for the rest of the Platform and Akamai engineering groups. We strive to accelerate development, reduce operational costs and provide common secured common services
As a DevOps, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing various infrastructure solutions on top of AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service)
- Developing and Provisioning infrastructure applications, and monitoring tools
- Building and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
- Planning and implementing disaster recovery with observability/system health monitoring/alerting/logging/visualization services
- Cooperating with external engineering teams support to troubleshoot complex problems that cross team's specialization
- Working in all stages of the software release process in all development and production environments
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have proven experience as DevOps Engineer for at least five years
- Be proficient in working in Linux/Unix environments, and demonstrate solid experience in Python and shell scripting.
- Have proven experience in designing and implementing solutions for Kubernetes
- Have solid experience in setting up large-scale container technology (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.), migrating/creating systems on cloud environments (Azure/AWS)
- Be responsible, self-managed, self-motivated, and able to work with little or no supervision
- Have deep attention to detail and excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills, experience working in a large global company
