Following the internal secondment of one of the team, this 12-month fixed term role is responsible for providing financial support for Lotto NZ’s stakeholders. With key responsibilities including monthly reporting for sales and operating expenses such as balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting, and forecasting, you will gain insight and exposure to complement your existing financial skills.

You will play a pivotal role within the Finance team ensuring that timely and accurate accounting requirements are met, contributing to the team’s goals, and providing overall support to the wider business.

Your day-to-day:

  • Reporting on monthly sales within month end deadlines
  • Preparing accurate balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monthly processing and review of assigned cost centres, journals, expenses, and reports
  • Preparation and maintenance of monthly and annual budgets and forecasts
  • Process improvements and recommendations for enhancements

Desired Skills and Experience

A bit about you:

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft suite of products.
  • SAP experience or similar large ERP system would be an advantage
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and standards
  • 2+ years’ experience in accounting/finance
  • Business/Finance bachelor’s degree
  • Partly qualified in CPA/NZICA/CIMA

This is a full-time role. The hours of work will be primarily 08:30am – 05:30pm Monday – Friday.

We have a hybrid model; you will be working from our Corporate HQ in Newmarket and will have the opportunity to work from home on occasion.
