Responsibilities
- The job applies technical and professional knowledge and expertise to provide specialist support by analysis of information and data.
- The job is expected to contribute to the development and implementation of new procedures/ guidelines to increase effiency.
- Responsible for daily guidance and direction in health and work environment/occupational health & safety programs to ensure a common and effective approach.
- Develop health and work environment strategies and programs and advise stakeholders on issues such as management of hazardous materials, noise levels, air quality, ergonomics, regulatory compliance, etc.
- The job applies technical and professional knowledge and expertise to provide specialist Industrial Hygiene support to our onshore and offshore organizations, by gathering and analyzing the information and data.
- Responsible for ensuring that all relevant governance, work processes, procedures, and methods within own area of competence is in full compliance with applicable regulations.
- Responsible for coordinating relevant regulatory programs and their applications and help support compliance.
- Keep the organisation updated on developments within own area of competence and cooperate with other operating companies to ensure compliance, proactiveness and continuous improvement.
Technical and personal skills
- Requires relevant higher university degree. In special cases, relevant work experience may compensate for limited formal education (MSc required).
- Requires typically a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in HSEQ and in Operations within the Oil & Gas industry, including experience in health and working environment issues.
- The job requires high level of expertise and a thorough understanding of the oil and gas industry practices,
- Ability to communicate highly specialist discipline guidance/advice to others in an understandable way.
- Experience in operational facilities offshore and/or offshore is required.
- On occasion, travelling offshore is required
- Is in full command of the English language. Norwegian is a plus.
- Efficient self-starter with an ability to work alone and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and deliver against deadlines
