We are looking for a Senior Process Specialist in Board and Paper making to our Board, Paper and Tissue Solutions Business unit in Services Business Line.
In this role you will be a member of our Agreements & Life Cycle Services team and strongly networked with Valmet Performance Center (VPC). Our team focuses on long-term Performance Agreements, step-by-step improvement programs designed to improve and maintain the customer’s competitiveness and profitability throughout the mill operations. Industrial Internet tools and applications has a strong role in our daily work.
The position is preferably based in Jyväskylä, Järvenpää (Tikkurila 2025) or Tampere Finland but other major Valmet locations can be considered.
Your main tasks and responsibilities include:

Remote support for our Board & Paper segment & Industrial Internet solution customers in various board and paper making issues

Technical and process analyses support to our Global & Area Organizations in Performance agreement deliveries

Remote start-up support in different Valmet’s business units’ deliveries
-
Sales support for Industrial Internet and other remote services products

Internal and external training of Industrial Internet product and services
-
Remote and/or on-site participation in production line studies and test runs

Develop remote service products together with different business units’ and VII (Valmet Industrial Internet) organization
To ensure your success in this role, we would hope for you to possess:

M.Sc. or B.Sc. in relevant technology, e.g., engineering or paper/board/process technology

A background of at least 5 years' experience in industries related to Pulp, Paper, and Board manufacturing would be advantageous

Good data processing skills
-
Good communication and networking skills
-
Ability to work systematically and achieve results both individually and as part of a team
In addition, you communicate fluently in Finnish and English, both written and spoken. Other language skills are seen as a benefit. In your work you are analytical and solution-oriented, and you have a genuine interest in the potential of the Industrial Internet. You have excellent collaboration skills which enables you to operate in global business environment & customer interface between Valmet and the customer. IT and automation skills are highly appreciated since we are continuously increasing data driven Industrial Internet capabilities to our offering. You have willingness to travel occasionally.
