Security Officer – Exeter
Contracted Hours: 36hrs plus holiday cover as required
Contracted Shift: (Days/Nights & Weekends)
Rate: £10.92 per hour
Profile Security Services Limited is currently recruiting for a Security Officer in the Exeter area, to be based at one of our prestigious client’s premises.
Job purpose:
To provide security and support duties in a professional and courteous manner in line with both the client requirements and Profile Security’s policies and procedures.
Duties include:
- To provide and deliver a first-class customer service to all visitors, site employees and contractors.
- Patrolling on site (Internal & External on foot)
- Ensure that all equipment is managed, used, monitored and reported defective in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Ensuring all H&S policies are adhered to
- Must be able to deal with confrontational situations professionally and be able to calm a situation down where possible.
- You will be required to conduct patrols in all-weather day & night internally and externally, making sure that all defects are reported.
- Effective operation of all access control systems relevant to an assignment.
- Timely and accurate completion of log entries and reports.
- Effective day to day operation of alarm and fire systems, keeping up to date with applicable procedures and developments.
- To undertake mandatory and statutory training as required.
- To comply with all relevant policies, procedures and guidelines, including those relating to Equal Opportunities and Confidentiality of Information.
Requirements:
- Police screening required to work on site: Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV2)
- Must hold a valid SIA Frontline Licence.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
- Must be punctual and have the ability to think on their feet.
- Reliable with excellent time-management skills.
- Smart, well-groomed and confident.
- Good report writing, communication and administration skills.
- 5 year checkable work/career history. All applicants will be vetted in line with industry standards (BS7858).
- Driving License required if living outside of Exeter for early starts on day shifts.
