The Priory Learning Trust is looking to recruit a Lunchtime Supervisor to work in our Little Learners preschool setting at West Huntspill Primary School Academy. This is a very exciting opportunity for an individual who would relish the chance to join an exciting and forward thinking Multi Academy Trust.

At Little Learners we understand and celebrate the unique qualities in every child and we ensure our Preschool is an enjoyable and positive experience for all of the children in our care. Our pupils have access to outstanding resources and learning opportunities, with the outside area being an extension of the classroom. We pride ourselves in encouraging children to be inquisitive and use their imagination to develop their play and learning.

The aims and ambitions of the Preschool over the next few years are really exciting and we will require pro-active, problem solving team players to cheerfully get involved to continue the work already being carried out to enhance our successful preschool for the youngest members of The Huntspill's community.

We welcome applications from both unqualified or Early Years Qualified staff and pay will be representative of this.

As part of this role, you will;

  • Oversee children at lunchtime, supported by other team members.
  • Promote student well-being by encouraging them to develop good relationships with others, develop their self-reliance and self-esteem, help them to practice good standards of personal health and hygiene.

The successful candidates will need;

  • A good standard of education/ 3 or more GCSEs including Maths and English at Grade C/Level 4 minimum.
  • Previous experience of working in a school or nursery setting.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • A full and relevant Early Years qualification to level two or above is desirable but not essential.
  • An ability to adapt and respond to the needs of the children.

This role involves working with children on a daily basis and is therefore in regulated activity.
