Key Output
- Quickly and efficiently diagnose machine systems and carry out repairs, services, and maintenance on Earthmoving Equipment on customer sites or at BWE site.
- Compile accurate customer machine analysis and reports including machine inspection reports (MIR's) and Technical Analysis Reports (TA's)
- Maintain professional image when representing BWE.
- Ensure safe work practice by following procedures and risk assessment.
- Contamination control.
- Control own admin (Labour booking, service reports, part returns, expenses etc.)
- Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own are consistently and accurately maintained.
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
- Qualified in relevant trade (e.g., Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic)
- Strong Engine knowledge on CAT3512
- Repair and replace engine components.
- Some Computer Literacy (SIS, VIMS, weight system and ET) knowledge
- Machine specific technical and product knowledge on hydraulic shovels RH340, RH400 and 6060
- Basic technical report writing, Basic business and financial understanding.
- Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
- Driver's license-Code B & PDB
- Understanding of supplier warranty systems, policies and procedures.
